Some Netgear extender users are keen to know the solution to the problem which they are getting with the ‘Mycloud’. They are doubtful whether they have configured the Netgear Ex2700 properly or not. We will discuss the problem along with the solution.
Problem: It has been seen that people are getting problems linking the 4 TB hard drive to their network through Netgear ex2700 setup to the new router. The purpose behind adding the extender to the router is to enhance the signal strength.
If you are facing a problem with the router, then read the guided manual. There are certain indications for which different solutions are specified. If you are facing problem in accessing the hard drive, then click on ‘Connect again’ button.
A printer is connected wirelessly to the network prints the documents seamlessly but when you try to connect the printer to the router, you will find ‘Can’t recognize the SSID’. To resolve this, turn off the router and hard drive and wait for a few minutes. Check if the problem is resolved or not. Connect the drive through the LAN cable if the problem has been resolved, then it means there is a problem with the configuration.
Solution: If you are facing the same problem, then go through the configurations which are done on your extender earlier. If there is some fault in the configurations, then it may result in further problems. Try connecting the extender to the ‘Mycloud’ using static IP configurations.
If you can print the documents after making the changes on the Netgear extender, then click to apply the same for ‘Mycloud’ drive. The steps for the same are given in the Netgear extender setup wizard download. Another important thing to mention here is ‘Don’t keep the password open on your computer’.
If the problem continues, then try a powerline adapter or get assistance from experts. Sometimes, any problem in the adapter creates an issue.
